In 2011, FDA saw an increase in the number of complaints it received of dog illnesses associated with consumption of chicken jerky products imported from China.
The FDA has analyzed chicken jerky treats for evidence of toxins, chemicals, etc and have found nothing despite the fact that complaints regarding the treats keep coming in.
According to FDA officials, "No specific products have been recalled because a definitive cause has not been determined"
