Wellness Recall

WellPet LLC of Tewksbury, MA has announced a recall of a limited number of its Wellness 12lb Small Breed Adult Health Dry Dog Food product due to possible moisture contamination. The high moisture may cause food to mold before its expiration date.

Frozen Yogurt Dog Treat Recall

TBD Brands, LLC, announced today that it is issuing a voluntary recall of Yoghund brand Organic Banana & Peanut Butter flavor, frozen yogurt dog treats. This is a cautionary action, as these products contain organic peanut butter linked to recent recalls of Sunland, Inc.of Portales, NM, for possible Salmonella contamination.

The affected products are:
Lot Code 268 12 and earlier; cup and four pack; Best By Date of 9-24-14 or earlier.

Dog Treat Recall

Kasel Associated Industries is voluntarily recalling BOOTS & BARKLEY ROASTED AMERICAN PIG EARS AND BOOTS & BARKLEY AMERICAN VARIETY PACK DOG TREATS because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

The recalled Roasted Pig Ears and Variety Pack Dog Treats were distributed nationwide through Target retail stores in August 2012.

The Roasted Pig Ears product comes in a clear plastic bag containing 12 pig ears marked with UPC bar code 647263899158. The Variety Pack product also comes in a clear plastic bag weighing 32oz and marked with UPC bar code 490830400086.

Kasel Industries is recalling lot number BESTBY 13SEP2014DEN for both products because this lot code tested positive for the Salmonella bacteria through analysis by the Colorado Department Of Agriculture.

Consumers who have purchased the 12 count packages of Roasted Pig Ears and the 32oz Variety Pack Dog Treats are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. ZuPreem Bird Food Recall

Premium Nutritional Products Inc.is voluntarily recalling certain lots of ZuPreem Medium/Large and Large FruitBlend With Natural Fruit Flavors maintenance formula bird foods

The recall is being initiated because two lots may contain calcium levels higher than the recommended level.

Excessive calcium intake can make birds ill and can be fatal.

Symptoms include loose or watery droppings, increased water intake, decreased activity, decreased appetite. If owners notice any of these symptoms, they should immediately contact their veterinarian.

Consumers who have purchased these products with the lot codes and expiration dates should discontinue using this product, discard the food and return the packaging to the place of purchase for replacement or a full refund.

Sunland, Inc has issued a voluntary recall of several types of peanut butter and almond butter for humans. This recall has expanded to include the pet product Dogsbutter RUC with Flax PB (peanut butter for dogs). 

These products have been recalled because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
